Men win title by just three points, Women win fourth straight conference title

NEW MEXICO: Excellent young prospect who redshirted the 2008 cross country and 2009 indoor track seasons before making his debut outdoors in 2009...showed great promise while training with the elite UNM distance crew and coaches expect him to be an impact runner this fall. 2008-09: (outdoor) Raced 5 times in 5 meet appearances in his debut track season...top 1,500 time of 3:57.41 in his final competition...clocked a 15:09.99 in his lone 5,000 race at Azusa Pacific...Academic All-MWC...

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2008 graduate of Los Alamos (N.M.) High School...No. 1 runner for the nationally ranked Hilltoppers as a junior and senior...finished fourth at the 2007 class 4A state cross country meet, leading No. 8 Los Alamos to an upset victory over U.S No. 1 Albuquerque Academy...went on to finish 11th to lead Los Alamos to a second-place finish - just 2 points out of first - at the Nike Team Nationals meet in Portland, Ore...fourth in the 3,200 at the '08 state track meet...also lettered in soccer as a freshman.
