High School - Three-sport standout in high school...played running back and defensive back on the football team that went 11-1 as a senior...named first-team all-city and all-league and was honorable mention all-state...started two years as a point guard on the basketball team...shined on the baseball diamond, garnering numerous accolades his senior season...named first-team all-state Class 5A as a shortstop...Topeka City "Player of the Year" and Centennial League "Player of the Year" in 2004...led team to 2004 5A state championship...team was state runner-up in 2002...led team to three consecutive regional championships (2002-04)...as a senior, batted .439 with two homers, nine doubles, nine stolen bases, 28 RBI, 36 hits and 40 runs in 82 at-bats.
