The Texas Baseball News says, "Dabbs has a ton of athletic ability, good strong frame, and strong arm both in the outfield and on the mound" ... besides being sought after for his football skills, Dabbs was also being recruited by Baylor, Texas State and UT-Arlington to play baseball ... earned all-state, all-city and all-district honors his senior season ... an all-district pitcher in 2002 after going 10-2 with a 1.66 ERA ... in 76 innnings of work his junior year, Dabbs had 106 strikeouts and only 18 walks ... at the plate, Dabbs hit .294 during his junior season with four home runs, seven doubles and 26 RBI's ... three letters in both baseball and football.
