Senior (2009): Named to the Academic All-Mountain West Conference team...appeared in seven games, pitching 9.1 innings...posted a 5.79 ERA and 0-0 record...struck out eight...made first appearance of the season on Feb. 20 against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, tossing two innings with one run and season-high three strikeouts...logged back-to-back outings of one inning of scoreless relief (Feb. 28 against Northern Colorado, March 6 against Binghamton)...allowed just one hits and no runs in one inning of work on April 15 against Arizona...allowed one run in two innings at Air Force on May 14. Junior (2008): Appeared in 14 games out of the bullpen...recorded 22 strikeouts in 20.1 innings of work...threw five consecutive innings of relief without allowing a run in three games from March 2 to March 11 including two innings of no-hit work against Northern Iowa...notched one save on the season...had surgery on May 15 for a shoulder injury. Sophomore (2007): In the MWC, ranked sixth in games finished (14) and eighth in saves (2)...only pitcher to throw a hitless inning in the season opener at Texas Tech on Feb. 6...closed out the second straight game for UNM, tossing an inning in game two at AFA April 15 and striking out two...earned his first win as a Lobo on May 4, throwing a career-high 3.1 scoreless innings, striking out a career-high four vs. BYU...shut down UNLV on May 11, picking up his second save, throwing 2.2 hitless, scoreless innings with four strikeouts...needed just four pitches to throw a perfect inning of relief against BYU on May 24 at the MWC Tournament. Redshirt Freshman (2006): Made 13 appearances, going 0-2 with a 8.84 ERA ... struck out seven in 19.1 innings...allowed just one run in 3 innings vs. New Mexico State on Feb. 21... posted a 6.75 ERA in two appearances at the MWC Tournament May 24-25, throwing 4 innings. Freshman (2005): Pitched scoreless inning at No. 12 Arizona on Feb. 5 before his 2005 season ended with an injury...redshirt season. High School: Played for coach James Boxley at Forney High School...lettered in baseball and football...led team to three state runner-up finishes in baseball...named all-state pitcher his junior year after collecting a 10-2 record and a 0.85 ERA...struck out 100 batters in 72 innings of work...also played third base... hit .425 with two homers and 23 RBI...played for Dallas Mustangs summer team under Coach Sam Carpenter...Mustangs finished third in the Connie Mack World Series...earned all-district honors his sophomore year.
