High School - As a senior at Mountain View High School he played for the Arizona Diamondbacks scout team, surrendering only one run while striking out 19 batters in 17 innings of work...all-state selection his senior year...he was also a member of the Tucson-based U.S.A. baseball team that won a Labor Day tournament held in Tucson...as a high school junior, Kibler pitched 29.1 innings, posting a 3.61 ERA and stacking up 34 strikeouts...surrendered only 26 hits while walking 7 in facing 128 batters.
