Pacas is a powerful pitcher who throws in the upper-80's...also has an effective split-finger and changeup...will see time as a middle reliever and could see some starts. 2004 (Junior) - Pacas logged 44.2 innings of work in 19 appearances...made four starts...fanned 41 batters...made UNM debut vs. Arkansas (2/29), pitching seven innings...fanned three in 1.1 innings of work vs. UCSB (3/6)...made first start at TCU (3/14), allowing one run and four hits in five innings of work...five strikeouts in 3.2 innings of work as a reliever in the home Utah series (3/19-21)...picked up his first UNM win in a relief effort against the Utes in the series finale (3/21)...threw three strong innings of shutout ball in preserving the win at Air Force to pick up the save (4/16)...pitched 3.2 innings of scoreless ball in the road BYU series (5/6, 5/8), including four strikeouts...Academic All-Mountain West honoree.
