Junior (2009):Named to the Mountain West Conference Second Team as an outfielder...earned Academic All-MWC honors...named the MWC Player of the Week on April 13...played in a career-high 57 games with 55 starts...batted .355 as the primary center fielder...led the team and league with 15 sacrifice bunts ranking seventh nationally in the category...46 RBI and four home runs is more than two previous seasons combined...recorded 17 extra-base hits including 15 doubles...went 12-for-13 on stolen bases, third most on the team...ranked first, along with teammate Brian Cavazos-Galvez, in MWC fielding percentage at 100...set a career-high with four hits on two separate occasions, going 4-for-4 on Feb. 24 falling a triple short of the cycle with two RBI and two runs scored...other four-hit feat came on Feb. 28 against Northern Colorado with all singles...career-high five RBI on March 6 against Binghamton and on April 19 against San Diego State, another occasion in which he fell a triple short of the cycle...reached base in 30 out of 32 games from March 20 through May 14...went 3-for-4 with three RBI and two doubles against Utah on April 10.
Redshirt Junior (2008): Started the first 12 games of the season in center field before suffering a broken hand on March 8 vs. Northern Iowa, ending his season...put together a .348 batting average in 46 at-bats...had nine RBI, 11 runs scored and three stolen bases...went a perfect 3-for-3 against then-No.1 ranked Arizona State...homered and drove in three and scored two runs vs. Texas State on February 29...recieved medical hardship.
Sophomore 2007 Named to the MWC All-Academic team...started the season opener at Texas Tech on Feb. 6, going 1-for-2 with three runs and two walks...led off and started in right at Arizona on Feb. 10...doubled three times vs. Utah on March 25 and scored a team-high three runs ...pinch-hit double vs. SDSU on March 30, drove in a run and then scored...started in left vs. SDSU on April 1, going 1-for-4 and throwing out two runners at the plate...drove in a run and scored as a pinch hitter in game two at Air Force on April 15...hit his first collegiate home run in the second game of the Hawaii-Hilo series, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and two runs scored as a pinch hitter on April 28...walked twice and scored twice at Texas Tech on May 14...produced UNM's lone RBI vs. BYU on May 24 with his single in the second.
Freshman 2006: Hit .333 (9-for-27) with eight runs, seven walks, four RBI and two sacrifices...played in 15 games with five starts in the outfield...made his first appearance, starting in left at Texas State on Feb. 12, going 1-for-2... was 1-for-2 with a run scored at Arizona on Feb. 19... pinch hit vs. NMSU on Feb. 21, going 1-for-2...hit .556 (5-for-9) with two RBI and three runs scored in two games vs. Northern Colorado March 4-5.
High School: Lettered in baseball and football at Thunder Ridge High School in Highlands Ranch, Colo....first team all-state and first team all-Continental League for baseball and football...Colorado Top-40 for baseball ...2004-05 academic all-state honorable mention... Hall of Honor Award winner, which recognizes the top male and female athlete at TRHS.
