DURHAM, N.C. - The honors keep rolling in for Lobo second baseman Jordan Pacheco as he was named to the Baseball America All-Freshmen second team Wednesday afternoon. Pacheco has already been selected to the Collegiate Baseball Freshman All-American team and was named a third-team All-American by Collegiate Baseball earlier this month. A product of Albuquerque's La Cueva High School, Pacheco had an outstanding season in his first year as Lobo, ranking among the MWC leaders in batting (.408), homers (15), runs (65), hits (95) and slugging (.717). He also drove in 52 runs and tallied 17 doubles and five triples in the leadoff spot.

With his third-team All-America selection, Pacheco became the first freshman in UNM baseball history to garner All-America honors. He is the fifth player in the program to earn Freshman All-America accolades. Pacheco, an All-Mountain West selection, was one of 64 players nationally and one of only two freshmen named to the Dick Hower National Player of the Year watch list.

Pacheco is currently playing for the La Crosse Loggers of the Northwoods League this summer.
