Prentice was named first team all-state by the Associated Press after leading Alamogordo High to a 22-6 record and an appearance in the Class 5A semifinals The Tigers lost to Albuquerque Cibola in the semis in The Pit Prentice averaged 23.4 points, 5.5 assists and 5.1 rebounds for head coach Mike Day.
