The University of New Mexico men's basketball program has had an incredible five-year run, averaging over 25 wins a season, and never once failing to get to the postseason. UNM has a postseason win in each of the last four years. However, it's more than just that...so much more that we have compiled a little fact sheet for Lobo Men's Basketball that has plenty of interesting tidbits. Lobo Program Highlights Did you know..... *That UNM just completed the best five-year stretch in school history: 126 wins *That UNM also has the most road wins in school history during this five-year stretch: 38 wins *That UNM has the most championships in any five-year stretch: 3 *That UNM has had five 1000-point scorers in five years *That UNM has two NCAA tournament wins, and two NCAA appearances in last three years *That UNM has had two NBA Draft Picks in J.R. Giddens and Darington Hobson *That UNM over the last five years has a 14-3 regular season mark vs. BCS Schools *That UNM has finished the season nationally ranked two of last three years *That the Lobos have had seven different winning streaks of at least 7 wins *That UNM's 15 and 13-game winning streaks under Alford are second and fourth in school history *That UNM is 12-6 vs. Nationally-Ranked opponents over the last three seasons *That UNM's Academic Progress Rate has increased all five seasons *That Lobo Basketball has had eight consecutive semesters of a 2.7 GPA, and spring of 2012 should make that nine *The Lobo Basketball had five Mountain West All-Academic selections in 2011, best in eight years *That Roman Martinez was named Academic All-American in 2010
