First of all, I would like to say that I am very happy for coach Knight because he got to start and finish his career exactly the way he wanted. Everything he did in between impacted a lot of lives in a positive way and I am very fortunate and blessed to have played for him. He made me a better man and for that I am grateful.

We have a big game tonight against Colorado State and we need to get the Pit packed again for this one. To be 16-6 as this point of season is a tremendous credit to the young men that represent the University of New Mexico Basketball team. This past week we had 2 tough road games at two of the more difficult road venues in our conference. The next two home games are very important to the rest of our season, beginning with Colorado State tonight. The Rams have some very good players and have been in each of their games in league play. They have a guard who leads the league in scoring and a 7-footer who has been improving with every game. It is going to be another tough game for us and we need everyone's help at The Pit tomorrow night.
