We have another tough road game tomorrow at BYU @ 4:00 p.m. They are coming off a big win against San Diego State on Wednesday night. The game will be televised on the Mtn. for anyone that has Comcast digital cable (Channel 276in Albuquerque).

Many may know this but I am sure the majority still does not. If you are a men's basketball season ticket holder, you can redeem any unused tickets to date for the upcoming game on Tuesday, February 5th vs. Colorado State at 8:00 p.m. in The Pit. This is a great benefit and one that can allow you to bring more family and friends to the upcoming Lobo men's basketball game. Just bring your unused tickets to The Pit ticket office no later than Monday, February 4. All redeemed tickets will be placed in benches rows 1-10 based on availability and must be picked up in person. Hours for the UNM Ticket Office at The Pit are 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

The Crowd on Jan. 22 vs. Utah was one of the loudest and most supportive crowds that I have had the pleasure of coaching for. The support that the community gives our program is tremendous. The Pit is one of, if not the most, special college basktball arenas in the country. If you don't believe me, just check out a couple of recent articles in USAToday and on Rivals.com. Every game is important and we need your support.

Be sure to wear your Lobo red!

I don't know if you have noticed but The Pit continues to gain recognition as one of the top arenas in all of college basketball. Rivals.com recently named The Pit as one of the Top-16 home court advantages in the country. USAToday said this week that The Pit is one of the 10 great places to get pumped for NCAA action.

We are currently averaging 13,600+ and we are going to need a full house for the Air Force game on Saturday. Tip-off is set for 4:00 p.m. and the game can be seen on The Mtn. or heard live on 770 KKOB AM. Hopefully everyone can make it out to the game and remeber to wear your Lobo red.

Last night we finished up the nonconference portion of our schedule with a 13-2 record with a tough win down in El Paso, Texas. It was a great college basketball environment and a huge win on the road for us. Both teams competed well and this is a great rivalry that we hope to continue.

We would like to say thanks to all of the Lobo fans who made the trip down to UTEP for the game, especially the big group on the Lobo Club Bus that created a huge section of red in the Haskins Center.

We are building confidence with each game and we need to keep that rolling on Saturday at Wyoming when we open up conference play against the Cowboys. The game will be televised on CSTV (Comcast 274, Direct TV 610, Dish 152) at 4:00 p.m. (M.S.T.).

Don't forget that our conference home opener is right around the corner as well on Saturday, Jan. 12, against San Diego State. This game is also "Pack The Pit" as all adult tickets are $10 and youth are only $8. Be sure to wear your Lobo red!
