NEW MEXICO: Veteran defensive back and versatile athlete who has played both linebacker and safety, and been a strong special teams contributor during his Lobo career...played quarterback, receiver and defensive back in high school...coaches said he is coming off perhaps the best spring of his career...was much more aggressive, coverage skills were much improved and displayed veteran leadership...most of his 33 game appearances have come on special teams, where he is expected to play a big role once again in 2008...earned team Beefmaster honors for players weighing between 200-224 in the spring of 2005...five former high school teammates (Sr. Zach Arnett, Jr. Frankie Baca, Jr. Clint McPeek, Sr. Matt Quillen and So. Greyson Wieczorek) all play for the Lobos as well...last name is pronounced BO.

2007 (JUNIOR): Played in all 13 games, recording 12 tackles - all in kickoff coverage...12 special teams stops were second behind UNM Special Teams Player of the Year Frankie Baca (13)...4 open field tackles, including 3 solo, vs. Sacramento State.

2006 (SOPHOMORE): Appeared in 10 games, primarily on special teams, but also saw spot defensive duty off the bench...finished with 14 tackles (7 solo) and a tackle for loss on the year...season-high 4 stops (3 solo) and a solo TFL in 19 snaps vs. Missouri...3 tackles in 18 defensive snaps at Air Force.

2005 (REDSHIRT FRESHMAN): Played in 10 games, all on special teams...recorded a pair of tackles in kick-off coverage.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2004 graduate of Albuquerque La Cueva HS...the Bears were Class 5A state champs in 2003 with a 13-0 record, and considered by many experts to have one of the best New Mexico prep teams in state history...first team all-state performer who threw a TD pass, intercepted a pass and returned a punt 40 yards in La Cueva's 24-21 victory over Las Cruces Mayfield in the state championship game...had 6 interceptions, plus two kickoff returns and a punt return for scores in 2003...played for head coach Fred Romero...attended Albuquerque Cibola High as a junior where he played quarterback and defensive back...a four-year letterwinner in basketball and also a sprinter for the track team...a 4.01 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale and a member of the Honor Roll all four years.
