NEW MEXICO: Former running back who is coming off a breakthrough debut season at wide receiver...is perhaps the Lobos’ most versatile offensive weapon…a dangerous athlete in both the running and passing game where he combines solid hands with great speed and agility…should be much improved with a full year of receiving experience under his belt and will be counted on to make an impact starting opposite Dwight Counter this season…had a strong spring...displayed big play potential in both the passing and return game...could spell Counter as the Lobos’ punt return man...spent his first three years at UNM as a running back, but coaches felt his speed and elusiveness is better suited in the open field...clocked a 4.5 in the 40 on the track and has a 38-inch vertical leap...2003 Beefmaster Award runner-up for players under 200 pounds...had not played enough to earn a letter prior to the 2002 season. 2002 (JUNIOR): Emerged as a real multi-dimensional offensive threat...14 games played, usually in a slot receiver position, with 6 starts...averaged 40.1 all-purpose yards per game on the season (17 rushing ypg, 23.1 receiving ypg)...27 catches for 323 yards, both 3rd on the squad...led Lobo receivers with 12 yards per reception...also 238 rushing yards on 41 attempts for a 5.8 avg.
