NEW MEXICO:
Three-year starter who was one of the top fullbacks in the MWC...was actually more of a
hybrid back who played as the lead-blocking FB, tailback in I-formation or by himself in single back packages...improved each year as a lead blocker, helping to spring many big runs over the past three years...was also very effective in pass protection and a powerful and surprisingly agile runner when given the ball...made a tremendous jump in the weight room over the last two years developing into
one of the strongest athletes on the team...back-to-back winner of the team's Beefmaster award for players weighing between 226-250 pounds...benches 385 pounds, 345 incline bench, 352 power clean and can squat 520...47 games with 13 starts...468 career rushing yards on 92 carries (5.1 avg.), including 3 TDs...also had 5 catches for 35 yards and a TD...averaged 5.3 yards per touch in his career...a knee injury slowed him during the `02 season, but he played the final three years of his career without any trouble...wore the same number as Lobo legend Brian Urlacher...
2005 (SENIOR):
Was very effective once again as both a blocker and ball-carrier...34 rushes for 175 yards (5.1 avg.) in 11 games...role was limited somewhat in the Lobos' single-back spread option offense, but season carries matched his career high and the yardage was his second-highest...also had 4 tackles on special teams
...vs. Colorado State...Made the most of his 3 offensive plays, recording a knockdown on each snap...upended Ram defenders twice to spring long runs by Travis Brown and DonTrell Moore
...at San Diego State...Enjoyed the second best rushing game of his career, barreling ahead for 74 yards on a career-high 14 carries (5.3 avg.), all in the 2nd half...had 61 yards on 12 4th quarter carries...ripped off a 30-yard run, the second longest of his career...also had a knockdown block in 37 offensive snaps
...at Wyoming...Made his presence felt in the 2nd half, banging out 27 yards on 6 carries (4.5 avg.) as the Lobos pounded away at the Cowboy defense...carried the ball 4 times in a row to close the 3rd quarter, picking up a first down with a long of 8...also lined up several times as DonTrell Moore's lead blocker in I formation and had a knockdown block...played 20 snaps
...vs. New Mexico State...Picked up 43 powerful yards on just 6 carries (7.2 avg.)...had a long of 17 yards and scored on a 9-yard TD run...also caught his first pass since the 2003 season which was good for a 7-yard gain on the first play of the game...was lined up as DonTrell Moore's lead blocker in I-formation on several plays.
2004 (JUNIOR):
Was a big key to the success of the UNM running game once again, posting 41 knockdown blocks during the regular season...played in all 12 games, including 3 starts...was a devastating cut blocker, attacking defenders on perimeter run plays...tallied 28 KD blocks in the final month of the regular season...also had 52 yards and a 2 TDs on 13 rushing attempts (4.0 avg.)...
at BYU...Surpassed his career-high for the second straight game, tallying 10 knockdown blocks in 33 snaps...helped DonTrell Moore to a 100-yard game and did a fine job in pass protection against an aggressive, blitzing defense...
at Colorado State...Notched 9 KD blocks in just 29 snaps...paved the way for DonTrell Moore's 154-yard rushing performance and did a solid job in blitz pick-up...
vs. San Diego State...Another outstanding blocking performance, recording 5 knockdowns in 40 offensive snaps...upended several Aztecs blocking the corner on sweeps and option runs...also 7 yards on 4 carries...
at UNLV...Quietly had one of his finest games of the year...tallied 4 KD blocks, including a punishing open field cut block on standout safety Jamaal Brimmer to spring DonTrell Moore for a long gain...barreled into Brimmer and several other defenders once again to clear the way for Marcus Smith's pivotal 65-yard TD run...
at New Mexico State...Played just 9 offensive snaps, but picked up 35 2nd half yards, including a long of 18 yards, and a 10-yard TD...lined up as the I-back, with fellow FB Landrick Brody blocking, to spell D.D. Cox...
vs. Washington State...Barreled in from a yard out for his first career rushing TD to tie the game at 7 early in the third quarter...finished with 10 yards on 4 carries and did a fine job of lead blocking for DonTrell Moore, tallying 6 knockdown blocks.
2003 (SOPHOMORE):
48 knockdowns (regular season) and 202 rushing yards on 34 carries (5.9 avg) in 13 games, including 9 starts...also notched 3 catches for 28 yards and a TD...
Wyoming...Excellent effort in blizzard-like conditions...recorded 6 KD blocks and led all UNM runners with 38 offensive snaps...helped shoulder the rushing load following an injury to DonTrell Moore...picked up 26 smashmouth yards on 4 3rd quarter carries...gave UNM some breathing room with his first career TD, a 12-yard reception, late in the 3rd...
Colorado State...Fine blocking performance, recording 6 knockdowns in 29 offensive snaps...helped clear the way for DonTrell Moore's career-high 242-yard rushing effort...
Utah...Career-day, gaining 98 yards on 7 carries...burst up the middle for a 78-yard gain, the Lobos' longest in 6 years, to set up the third UNM score of the half...also notched a pair of knockdown blocks...
San Diego State...18 yards on 5 carries and 1 KD block in 40 offensive snaps...
Utah State...5 KD blocks in 50 offensive snaps...led the way for DonTrell Moore's 132 rushing yards...
BYU...6 knockdowns and 26 yards on 8 carries...38 offensive snaps to lead all UNM RBs...
Texas Tech...6 knockdown blocks to go along with 15 yards rushing on 3 carries
2002 (REDSHIRT FRESHMAN):
Began the year slated No. 1 on the depth chart, but was hampered throughout the season with soreness in his knee...
Utah State...4 carries for 15 yards, including a season-long of 14 yards in his first career start...2 KO blocks in just 18 plays...
Texas Tech...First career rushing attempts, carrying the ball four times for 18 yards, including a long gain of 8 yards...17 plays

A 2001 graduate of Willowridge HS...gained 750 yards his senior season for the Eagles...first team all-district as a senior...career numbers were 259 carries for 1,749 yards and 13 TDs...played for coach David Suggs...also competed in the triple jump...3.5 cumulative GPA and he was academic all-district all four years of high school
