NEW MEXICO: Three-year letterman who will be one of the top candidates to start at guard in 2010 after splitting time with fellow senior Karlin Givens last fall...steadily improved throughout the season and is expected to play a big role in his final season...can also play center and will likely get some reps in training camp as coaches search for the best lineup up front..continuing to improve his strength in the weight room and coaches love his effort and competitive spirit...has become a much more consistent player as well...had seen limited action in 4 games in his career before entering 2009 when he appeared in all 12 games and started 5 times...prep teammate Josh Fussell is a senior fullback for the Lobos.

2009 (JUNIOR): Played in all 12 games at left guard (5 starts)...rotated in off the bench to split snaps with Karlin Givens in the first 5 games before making his first career start and playing the majority of snaps in week 6 at Wyoming...left the week 7 game vs. UNLV in the 1st half with a concussion and resumed sharing time with Givens after his return...64 knockdown blocks in 431 plays this season, including 27 KD blocks in the final month...had a key block on James Wright's 84-yard TD run vs. Air Force in week 3...season-high 11 KD blocks in 51 snaps in week 5 at Texas Tech.

`09 HIGHLIGHTS: vs. Colorado State...Another outstanding effort with 6 knockdowns, 2 extra effort plays, a career-high 85% technique grade and 98% assignment grade in 40 snaps...helped UNM pile up a season-high 270 rushing yards and 467 total yards...did not allow a sack and had no penalties... vs. No. 22 BYU...Had 8 more knockdowns and no missed assignments in 54 snaps against one of the biggest front lines in the country...did a nice job protecting Donovan Porterie on roll-out plays, allowing him to throw for 272 yards and 2 TDs (44 attempts)...at No. 14 Utah...Turned in the best game of his career, coming off the bench to record 8 knockdowns and team-high 3 extra effort plays in 46 snaps against one of the MWC's premier front lines...perfect technique on 83% of his snaps and missed just 1 assignment (98%)...no sacks or penalties.

2008 (SOPHOMORE): Played 24 fourth quarter snaps in his lone game appearance vs. San Diego State (week 8)...finished with an impressive 7 knockdown blocks and missed just one assignment in his limited time.

2007 (REDSHIRT FRESHMAN): Played in 3 games off the bench at offensive guard...made his collegiate debut in the Lobos' upset win at Arizona, playing one snap in place of injured Sylvester Hatten...no missed assignments and 1 knockdown in 14 snaps the following week vs. Sacramento State...3 snaps late in the New Mexico Bowl victory over Nevada.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2006 graduate of Tampa area Durant High School in Valrico, Fla...was a team captain and first team All-Hillsborough County at guard as a senior...limited to seven games after suffering a broken leg...started at offensive tackle his first two years...also played defensive tackle for head coach Mike Gottman...a four-year letterman for the Cougars baseball team as a right-handed pitcher...a 3.9 GPA and all-academic honors all four years...also a member of the student council, serving 2 years as vice-president.
