NEW MEXICO: Returning letterman who gives the Lobos an outstanding back-up center for senior All-America candidate Erik Cook...coaches said he was one of the most improved linemen during spring practice and will push hard to see the field this fall...one of the most powerful linemen on the team...was a junior college standout for the City College of San Francisco before enrolling at UNM in January of 2008...has a redshirt year available. 2008 (JUNIOR): Appeared in one game, starting and playing all 80 snaps at center for a sick Erik Cook in the Lobos' 70-7 win over San Diego State (week 8)...tallied 6 knockdown blocks, didn't allow any pressure on the QB or commit any penalties. CITY COLLEGE OF SAN FRANCISCO: Played two seasons in San Francisco for head coach George Rush...helped the Rams finish 12-1 in 2007, including a 31-28 victory over Mt. San Antonio in the California State championship game...it was CCSF's fifth state championship. HIGH SCHOOL: A 2005 graduate of Amador Valley HS in Pleasanton, Calif...two-year letterman for head coach Rick Sira...the Dons were 12-1 and conference champs his senior season...favorite sports memory came in high school when he recovered a fumble (on a quarterback sneak) in the end zone for a touchdown...also lettered in wrestling.
