HIGH SCHOOL: A 2008 graduate of Rio Rancho (N.M.) High School...first team all-metro and a first team all-state selection by Rivals.com and Scout.com after piling up 84 tackles and 9.5 sacks as a senior for head coach Mike Worley's Rams...helped RRHS go 14-10 in his two years on the team, including the school's first-ever playoff victory in 2007...58 tackles and 4 sacks as a junior...favorite memory was sacking and forcing fumbles twice againt former Artesia and current Oklahoma QB Landry Jones in the Bulldawg Bowl...was fourth overall out of more than 600 defensive linemen at the 2007 Phoenix Nike Combine...also the starting heavyweight and an all-district selection for the nationally ranked and 2007 & `08 class 5A state champion Rio Rancho wrestling team...first team all-academic honoree as well.
