NEW MEXICO: Returning letterman who began his career as a tight end before moving to defensive end while redshirting the 2007 season...developed quickly on defense and emerged as a regular in the rotation up front last year...good combination of size and athletic ability on the edge...continued his progression with a strong spring, getting the bulk of first string reps at right end before he was sidelined with a broken arm...missed the final two weeks of the spring, but had successful surgery and returned to full action during the summer conditioning program...he and sophomore Johnathan Rainey will resume their battle for the starting job during training camp...enrolled at UNM in the summer of '07 after transferring from Copiah-Lincoln Community College.

2008 (JUNIOR): Played in 11 games as one of the first defensive ends off the bench...led all reserve linemen with 24 tackles and got in on 3 tackles for loss (2.0 officially) along with a pass break-up and QB hurry...5 stops and a TFL in his Division I debut vs. TCU (week 1)...4 tackles at Air Force.

COPIAH-LINCOLN CC: A two-year starter at tight end...3 catches in 2006 with two going for TDs....helped the Wolfpack to a 9-3 record and a 21-0 victory over Georgia Military College in the Golden Isles Bowl...played for coach Glenn Davis.
