NEW MEXICO:

Three-year letterman who has been an impact player in the linebacker rotation over the past two years...has come off the bench in 27 of his 30 career games, but is poised for a breakthrough season in 2008 as he becomes a full time starter for the first time...an experienced, polished, assignment sound player who brings excellent strength and a physical presence to the mix...has shown flashes of being a dominant playmaker, but coaches are counting on him to be more of a consistent force on the field in his final season...has added 30 pounds to his frame since arriving at UNM and made big gains in the weight room as well...has developed into the strongest LB on the team...572-pound squat, 385 bench, 328 power clean, 325 incline press...an avid cook in the offseason who claims to be the team's top BBQ grill man and was one of the leaders of the Lobos' green chile stew cook-off team at the 2007 New Mexico Bowl.

2007 (JUNIOR):
Played a big role on defense once again, particularly with starter Major Mosley sidelined by injury the first half of the year...started games vs. New Mexico State (week 2) and Sacramento State (week 4)...just 31 tackles (18 stops last 5 games), but was an active playmaker...tied for the team-lead with 2 forced fumbles - both coming late in the 4th quarter in wins over San Diego State and Air Force...also did a nice job on the blitz with 13 QB hurries on the year...2.5 tackles for loss and a PBU as well.

`07 HIGHLIGHTS: vs. Nevada (New Mexico Bowl)...Recorded 3 tackles (2 solo), a 2-yard TFL and 2 QB hurries to help lead a sensational defensive effort against the nation's 7th-ranked offense...UNM held the Wolf Pack to 210 yards - 279 under its regular season average - including just 73 rushing - 153 under its average - on 30 attempts...vs. Colorado State...Matched his career-best for the 2nd straight week, notching 4 tackles...also got in on a TFL and had a QB hurry...at TCU...Tied a career-high with 4 tackles, including 1 for loss...also had 2 QB hurries...vs. Air Force...Three stops and sealed the victory when he flew in to force and recover a fumble after a short pass on the Falcons' final drive...helped UNM hold the nation's No. 6 rushing offense 48 yards under its average, including just 73 yards on 24 2nd half attempts (3.0 avg.)...got in the backfield several times, tallying a career-high 3 QB hurries...at San Diego State...Lone tackle was one of the biggest plays of his career as he knocked the ball out of QB Kevin O'Connell's hands to set-up the Lobos' game-winning TD drive with less than 2 minutes to play...fought off a block and chased O'Connel down from behind after a 14-yard gain, ripping the ball free as he hit the Aztec QB...UNM scored 8 plays later.

2006 (SOPHOMORE):
Saw significant time in all 12 games he played...was one of the first LBs off the bench much of the season and made his first career start at Air Force with Cody Kase limited by a hamstring injury...had just 17 tackles, but made them count with 5.0 coming in the backfield for lost yardage, including 3.0 sacks.

`06 HIGHLIGHTS: at Colorado State...Excellent effort off the bench...recorded 3 tackles, including 1.5 TFLs...did a fine job of pressuring the passer, finishing with a 9-yard sack and a season-high 2 QB hurries...at Air Force...Strong performance in his first career start...recorded a career-high 4 tackles to help lead a solid defensive effort against one of the nation's most challenging offenses...the Falcons finished with 281 yards of total offense, 107 under their season average...also had 2 TFLs and notched a sack after defeating two blockers...vs. UTEP...Made perhaps the defensive play of the game when he sacked and forced QB Jordan Palmer to fumble on the Miners' third play of the afternoon...it was his first career solo tackle and only stop of the day, and also the first sack UTEP had allowed all year...the Lobos scored a TD five plays later and never looked back en route to the upset victory.

2005 (REDSHIRT FRESHMAN):
Appeared in 5 games on special teams.
