NEW MEXICO: Converted linebacker who moved to defensive end...showed great potential at the position and could emerge as a regular defensive contributor on gameday this fall as he polishes his technique up front...good speed (4.9 in the 40) and quickness up front and great power as well...does a nice job of using his hands to get off blocks...strong special teams contributor in his first two years (13 tackles in 19 games)...walked on to the team in the summer of 2006...was on the team in 2009 but did not compete.

2008 (SOPHOMORE): Appeared in all 12 games, primarily on special teams...notched 9 tackles with 7 coming in kickoff coverage.

2007 (REDSHIRT FRESHMAN): Played in 7 games on special teams and finished with 4 tackles.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2006 graduate of Heritage Hills HS in Lincoln City, Ind...2-time first team all-state (class 3A) pick for coach Bob Clayton...helped the Pioneers go 12-2 and reach the 3A semistate in '06...123 tackles (89 solo), 8 tackles for loss and 3 interceptions as a senior...also played running back, rushing for 740 yards and 12 TDs...named one of the top 33 players in the state by the Bloomington Herald-Times and among the top 50 by the Indiana Football Coaches Association.
