NEW MEXICO: Transfer from Citrus (Calif.) College who played in seven games for the Lobos before getting hurt...one of the most athletic players on the team...could be an impact player in the secondary in 2012 if he can learn the 3-4 scheme and earn the coaching staff's trust...prior to 2011, Lewis last played for Pima (Ariz.) Community College in 2008. 2011 (JUNIOR): Seven games with one start before missing the final portion of the season with a knee injury...finished with three tackles on the year. PERSONAL: Graduated from Shawnee Mission (Kan.) South High School...parents are Diana Hickson and Albert Lewis...father was an NFL All-Pro defensive back, playing 11 years with the Kansas City Chiefs and five with the Los Angeles/Oakland Raiders. |
