New Mexico vs. Nevada Post Game Notes

NEW MEXICO: Walk-on who earned his way onto the playing field in 2011. A decent-sized target with good hands and ability to catch the ball in traffic...needs to continue to show improvement and ability to pick up the new offense to get back on the field in 2012.

2011 (REDSHIRT FRESHMAN): Rose to the occasion when the team suffered multiple injuries at the wide receiver position...played in six games with two starts...had one catch for six yards vs. Air Force in week eight.

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Rio Rancho High School and played for coach David Howes...had 81 receptions for 1,153 yards and 20 touchdowns his senior year in 2009. Was selected All-Metro his junior and senior seasons and 1st Team All-State his senior season.

PERSONAL: Born March 3, 1992 in Rhinebeck, N.Y....son of Steve and Lisa Magnant...has two older sisters and a younger brother...hobbies include playing sports...favorite food is steak...favorite athlete is Dwayne Wade...was a member of Honor Roll throughout high school.
