NEW MEXICO: Junior who moved to wide receiver in the spring after spending his first two seasons at cornerback...one of team's best all-around athletes, he will compete for a starting role this fall...will also be in the mix to return kickoffs again..one of two signees in the class of 2009 from DeMatha HS in Washington, D.C., along with OG Calvin McDowney...Emmanuel is a Type 1 diabetic on insulin...he keeps candy in his sock during practice and games to combat any low blood sugar issues.

2010 (SOPHOMORE): Played in 12 games as a reserve cornerback...also saw a lot of time on special teams as the Lobos' top kickoff returner...set UNM season records with 35 kickoff returns and 852 yards, an average of 24.3 yards...long was 47 at BYU...finished the year with 20 tackles...had a season-high five stops at No. 3 Oregon to start the year...had at least one tackle in 10 of 12 games...had a TFL at Colorado State...recorded two pass breakups.

2009 (TRUE FRESHMAN): 18-year old rookie who played in 11 games and started 3 times in the final month, including twice against nationally-ranked opponents...made his first career start at No. 14 Utah in place of injured RS-Fr. Nathan Enriquez and rotated with Enriquez down the stretch...26 tackles on the year, including 1 for loss...also has 2 pass break-ups and an INT...played the 2nd half of game at San Diego State (5 solo tackles, TFL) after Enriquez was sidelined.

HIGH SCHOOL: One of two signees from DeMatha HS in Washington, D.C. along with teammate Calvin McDowney...second team all-state (Maryland and District of Columbia), first team All-Washington Catholic Athletic Conference, all-D.C. and all-D.C. Pigskin pick as a senior when he caught 23 passes for 450 yards and 11 TDs...first team all-Beltway by DigitalSports.com and 2nd honorable mention all-metro by the Washington Post...also started at cornerback for head coach Bill McGregor...led the Stags to WCAC titles in 2006, `07 and `08.
