Former walk-on who is poised to have his best season as a Lobo...had an outstanding spring and opened some eyes on the coaching staff with his performance as both a tailback and punt returner...lettered each of the past two years, primarily for his work on special teams, and has appeared in 19 games in his career...coaches say they have total confidence in his ability...is a tough, shifty runner who possesses a nice burst of speed and good hands...has an outstanding work ethic and doesn't make many mistakes...solid numbers in the weight room as well...has earned a good amount of reps in the backfield each of the past three spring seasons and began to see the ball more over the second half of the 2004 season...was used mostly as a punt returner, but also saw some time in a slot wide receiver role and at tailback...joined the travel squad at the end of the 2002 season and saw brief special teams action in the regular season finale vs. Wyoming.

2004 (JUNIOR):
Played in eight games, including the final five contests of the year...made his first career start at BYU, lined up as a slot wide receiver...was the team's top punt returner, averaging 9.1 yards on his 7 returns...made his debut at Colorado State and had a season-long 33-yard return to set-up a key 3rd quarter TD...rushed for 15 yards on 4 carries (3.8 avg.) at New Mexico State and had an 8-yard gain on a 3rd-and-6 play for his first career reception in the Emerald Bowl.

2003 (SOPHOMORE):
Carried the ball four times for 13 yards, including an 11-yard TD run, all in the season-opener vs. Texas State.

HIGH SCHOOL:

A 2001 graduate of Muleshoe (Texas) HS...outstanding three-sport athlete at Muleshoe, lettering in football, baseball and track...played for coach David Wood...had 2,500 all-purpose yards (2,300 rushing) on a team that went 14-1 and advanced to the district quarterfinals his senior year...was a AAA second team all-state running back in 2000...also 2000 South Plains Player of the Year and District 2-AAA MVP...was a first team all-district running back as a junior, rushing for 900 yards...was the 2000 2-AAA district long jump champion and 1999 district high jump champion.
