2010 (FRESHMAN): Played in 12 games as a true freshman on the defensive line...finished the year with 13 tackles (7 solo)...had his first career sack at UNLV...was on a steady rotation up front.

HIGH SCHOOL: Two-time first team class 6A all-state selection who is one of the highest rated recruits New Mexico has ever signed out of high school...listed as a four-star prospect by both Rivals.com (No. 46 overall, No. 26 DT) and ESPN.com (No. 20 DT)...chose UNM over scholarship offers from a slew of college football powers, including defending national champion Alabama, Tennessee, Arkansas, Florida, Florida State, Illinois, Ole Miss, Notre Dame, Purdue, Pittsburgh, South Carolina...amassed career totals of 200 tackles, 24 sacks, 15 tackles for loss, 4 interceptions... 50 tackles, 8 sacks, and scored 3 defensive touchdowns as a senior last fall...scored twice on intercepted screen passes and on a 50-yard fumble recovery...70 stops, 10 sacks, and another INT return for a TD his junior year, helping lead Hialeah (pronounced HI-a-LAY-a) into the state playoffs...the Thoroughbreds went 22-8 in his final three years...four-year standout on both the offensive and defensive line for head coach Marc Berman...nominated to play in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl...Hialiah defensive teammate Ravonne Carter also signed with the Lobos.
