NEW MEXICO: Converted defensive end who made a real impact in the trenches last fall as a physical blocking tight end...has improved every semester since transferring from Kansas State in the fall of 2006...sat out the '06 season due to NCAA transfer rules and moved over to offense during the spring of '07...primarily a short-yardage/goal line run blocking specialist...coaches love his tenacity and ability to finish his blocks...made good strides as a receiver this past spring...routes were sharper and flashed improved hands as well...3-yard TD catch in the Cherry-Silver Spring Game...Academic All-MWC honoree.
