Returning letterman who has the talent to be one of the Lobos' top safeties...excellent athlete who was seeing plenty of time on gameday before a severely bruised shoulder limited his snaps late in the season...has a strong upside and will only improve as he continues to get more familiar with the UNM defensive scheme and improves his overall strength...will be one of several players battling to be a part of the regular safety rotation this fall...enrolled at UNM during the summer of 2004 after a decorated career at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M...was ranked the nation's 12th-best junior college safety prospect by CollegeFootball.com when he signed with UNM...has a redshirt year available.

2004 (JUNIOR):
Recorded 13 tackles (7 solo) in 7 games, including with one start...vs. Texas Tech...Best game of the season against the pass-happy Red Raiders...was in the starting lineup for the first time as UNM opened with a 6 DB package...made 9 tackles (6 solo) in 75 defensive snaps...vs. Washington State...Notched one solo tackle and a QB hurry in his D-I debut.
