NEW MEXICO: Veteran wide receiver who led the team in catches in his first Division I season in 2008 and was the top receiver off the bench last fall...has shown flashes of being a real game-breaker at the position and coaches believe he can be an excellent playmaker as both a receiver or rusher out of the slot position...has very strong hands and will make tough catches in traffic...runs good routes and has developed into a strong blocker...has deceptive speed, which he displayed on a 40-yard TD run at UNLV in `08 and 61-yard TD at Texas Tech last year...good strength in the weight room as well...enrolled at UNM in January of 2008 after transferring from Coffeyville (Kan.) CC...was originally headed to Michigan State out of high school when former Lobo offensive coordinator Dave Baldwin held the same job with the Spartans, but joined Baldwin at UNM instead...a redshirt in 2006.

2009 (JUNIOR): Was the Lobos' top reserve WR (5th on the team) with 26 receptions for 283 yards, including a 61-yard TD, in 11 games off the bench...role increased significantly over the final 8 games after senior Roland Bruno's seasonending surgery...21 catches for 256 yards (12.2 avg.) during that span...also averaged 21.7 yards on 3 kickoff returns...did not play in week 2 (coach's decision).

`09 HIGHLIGHTS: at San Diego State...Turned in his best game of the year with 4 grabs for 54 yards, along with a 9-yard run...19-yard catch on a 3rd-and-13 play and a 20-yard grab on the Lobos' final drive...officials ruled that he caught a 25-yard pass on the sideline to convert a 4th-and-20 play, but replay officials made a controversial reversal of the call to end the Lobo rally.

2008 (SOPHOMORE): Overcame a slow start to emerge as one of the Lobos' top receivers in his first 12 Division I games (4 starts)...after being shutout in the the first 6 quarters of the year, he recorded a team-high 36 receptions for 272 yards (7.6 avg.) in the final 11 games...long catch of 30 yards...also had a 21-yard TD at Tulsa...16 of his 36 catches came on 3rd or 4th down...9 went for 1st downs...showed his speed in the open field on a 40-yard TD run at UNLV....averaged 24.3 yards on his 3 kickoff returns (long of 28).

`08 HIGHLIGHTS: at Colorado State...Matched his season-highs with 5 catches for 54 yards, including a long of 26...at UNLV...Got the Lobos' on the board with a 40-yard TD run in the 1st quarter...had 3 catches for 11 yards, but final grab went for 17 yards after 2 botched screen passes...also had a 28-yard kickoff return for 79 all-purpose yards...vs. No. 9 Utah...Season-highs of 5 catches for 54 yards, including a season long of 30...2 catches for 27 yards, including an 8-yard grab on 3rd-and-5 to set up the Lobos' first FG...at Tulsa...Led the team with a season high 5 catches for 32 yards...first career TD catch was a 21-yarder from backup QB Brad Gruner.

COFFEYVILLE CC: Spent two seasons at Coffeyville (Kan.) Community College...a team-high 14 catches for 192 yards and 1 TD for the run-oriented Red Ravens in 2007...also 2 rushes for 36 yards, and he returned punts and kickoffs...played for head coach Jeff Leiker.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2006 graduate of Edina (Minn.) HS, a suburb of Minneapolis...all-conference receiver as a senior for head coach Kim Nelson...also played cornerback and he lettered in basketball.
