STEVENS: Donovan Porterie a Symbol of Lobos' United CoreIf you try to delve into this gutsy group of New Mexico seniors and pluck out a single Lobo who deserves victory Saturday more than another, it becomes an impossible chore. This band of Lobo seniors is more than deserving of victory as a group because of how they have endured defeat, how they have faced criticism, how they have braved adversity. However, there is one Lobo because of the nature of his position, who probably has shouldered an unfair portion of the burden.

STEVENS: Lobos Win Stat Battle, But Lose On Scoreboard 24-19 to BYUIt is really the way these battling Lobos deserve to end a game and, of course, we're not talking about a scoreboard that favored Brigham Young 24-19. The Lobos battled high-powered BYU toe-to-toe, won the battle on the stats' sheet, but were doomed by three failed field goals and BYU sacks on UNM's final drive. The Lobos play host to Colorado State this coming Saturday.
