Game 5 notes vs. Boise State (9/29/12)
-UNM team captains for Saturday's game against New Mexico State were TE Lucas Reed, NT Reggie Ellis and LB Joe Stoner.
-The Lobos allowed Boise State's Jay Ayaji to go for a 71-yard run in the second quarter. It's the longest run against --UNM since Wyoming's Alvester Alexander gained 94 yards on a run in 2010.
-UNM's three lost fumbles were a season-high.
-The Lobos' 96-yard touchdown drive in the third quarter was their longest this season.
-New Mexico's 29 points were its most-ever against the Broncos.
-Freshman RB David Anaya recorded his first career reception, a 6-yarder, in the second quarter.
-RB Jhurell Pressley's 3-yard TD run in the third quarter is his third in the last two games and fourth on the season. He is one TD shy of Crusoe Gongbay's 2011-leading total of five rushing TDs.
-RB Kasey Carrier's 5-yard TD run in the third quarter gave UNM its 11th rushing TD of the season. The Lobos finished with 10 rushing TDs in all of 2011.
-Quintell Solomon had a career-long 29-yard run in the fourth quarter.
-QB Cole Gautsche's had a pair of TD runs in the third and fourth quarters, respectively. He has four on the season and the Lobos have 13 rushing TDs on the season. He also record his first two-point conversion in the fourth quarter.
-LB Dallas Bollema's third-quarter fumble recovery was the third of his career and his first since the 2010 season.
-CB DeShawn Mills recorded a career-high eight tackles.
-LB Rashad Rainey had a career-high 1.5 tackles for loss.
-LB A.J. Butler forced the first fumble of his career in the fourth quarter.
-LB Joe Stoner returned the fumble 47 yards. It was his seventh career fumble recovery.
-DE Jacori Greer's fourth quarter sack was his second this season.
-P Ben Skaer hit a 51-yard punt in the first quarter, the fourth straight game in which he has hit one at least 50 yards and sixth punt of 50 yards or more overall.
-True freshman Ryan Santos made his first appearance on special teams this season.
-Sophomore Jeric Magnant forced his first career fumble on the opening kickoff in the second half.
