TEAM

  • For the second year in a row, New Mexico beats Colorado State with a FG as time expired...last year Kenny Byrd's 33-yard FG gave UNM a 20
  • 19 victory in Fort Collins...today it was a 43-yard FG by John Sullivan
  • It is the second time this season UNM has won a game on its final possession (SDSU 20-17 on 10/20)
  • The last 14 regular season games between UNM and CSU have been decided by 10 points or less...the average winning margin over that span is 5.3 points
  • New Mexico has won eight straight games decided by three points or less, including four in 2007
  • The Lobos have won four home games in one season for the first time since 2003 when they went 5-2

    Senior WR Marcus Smith

  • Tied with Travis Brown for 10th all-time at UNM with 11 receiving TD's
  • Fifth on UNM's single season list with 72 receptions

    Sophomore QB Donovan Porterie

  • Connected on 21-29 pass attempts for 211 yards, two touchdowns
  • 3rd game with multiple TDs and has thrown a TD in 8 of 10 games

    Junior LB Zach Arnett

  • Had a career-high eight tackles
  • Had the first two sacks of his career today and a tackle for loss

    Senior DE Michael Tuohy

  • Had two tackles for a loss and one sack
  • 9th all time at UNM with 36.5 tackles for loss
  • 7th all time at UNM with 18 sacks

    Senior S OJ Swift

  • Tied a season high with 10 tackles
  • Credited with ½ sack for the first time since 2005
  • The first punt return of his career was good for 18 yards and set up the Lobos' game
