Coker became the head coach at UTSA on March 6, 2009 and returned to the coaching ranks after a two-year stint with ESPN. Prior to joining ESPN as a college football analyst, Coker was arguably one of the nation's top head coaches from 2001-06 at the University of Miami (Fla.). He posted a 60-15 record in his six seasons, and led the Hurricanes to the 2001 National Championship in his first season.
