Emerald Bowl Photo Journal: Day Four Lobos, Middies finally square off on Thursday

On the eve of the 2004 Emerald Bowl, fans and players from New Mexico and Navy met in San Francisco's Union Square this afternoon for a spirited pep rally. Following the Kickoff Luncheon, the Lobos surveyed the field at SBC Park and began a quiet evening preparing for Thursday's contest.
A strong contingent of UNM supporters gathered with the Lobo spirit squad at San Francisco's Union Plaza.
The Lobo cheerleaders did their part to pump up the crowd.
Lobo Louie and Lobo Lucy were also in attendance.
Head coach Rocky Long and his players looked ready for gameday.
Coach Long thanked the crowd of loyal Lobo fans and introduced team speakers Josh Bazinet and Claude Terrell.
Big C hyped up the Cherry and Silver crowd for one of the last times in his collegiate career.
Many of the Lobo players, including Jorge Enriquez and Hank Baskett, recorded the memorable pep rally on their video cameras.
Navy head coach Paul Johnson led his Midshipmen into the plaza.
