THIS SEASON (SENIOR): Three-year letterwinner for the Lobos...One of UNM's team captains...Looking to continue solid play from last season...Looked upon to be a team leader with his experience in conference, regional and national play in 2003.

2002-03 (JUNIOR): Medlock had the lowest round of any UNM golfer in the fall, a 64 he shot in the second round of the WNMU Intercollegiate in Ruidoso, N.M., to tie him for the second-lowest round by any Lobo golfer in history. He went on to finish in first place. He played 33 varsity rounds... His best finish was a tie for 10th at the MWC Championships.

2001-02 (SOPHOMORE): Medlock did well in his first varsity outing, finishing tied for 13th place at the PING Arizona Intercollegiate... A slip at the Las Vegas Collegiate did not faze Medlock, as he finished the year strong at the Border Olympics.

2000-01 (FRESHMAN): Saw his first action at UNM, playing in four tournaments with the junior varsity... Finished second on the team on three occasions... Top showing was his last event, the Western New Mexico Fall Intercollegiate, in which he finished T6th in the rain-shortened event... Shot a second round 67 to vault him into contention heading into the final day... Shot a respectable 221 (+5) in his first ever start at the William H. Tucker, good for a 33rd-place tie... Turned out to be his lowest three-round total of the season.

HIGH SCHOOL: Was a four-year letterwinner for coach Dave Costley at Westlake HS is Westlake, Calif... WHS finished as high as third in CIF play and won its league championship all four years of Ian's tenure... As a senior, placed T11th in the Southern California State Championships... Placed T9th in the '99 CIF Southern Sectional... Was second in points in the PGA Junior Series in 1998... Won the Junior and Men's Club Championship at Spanish Hills Country Club during the summer of 1999.
