THIS SEASON: Great competitor who hits the ball long off the tee...should compete for a spot in the varsity lineup after playing in 10 events in his first two years at UNM...has a 75.28 career stroke average through 29 rounds...qualified and competed in the stroke play portion of the U.S. Amateur at Pinehurst, N.C., over the summer. 2007-08 (JUNIOR): Third lowest stroke average on the team at 74.25 in 12 varsity rounds...career best tie for 11th at the PING BYU Cougar Classic when he shot a career-low 214 (68-70-76)...68 in the first round was his 18-hole career low. 2006-07 (SOPHOMORE): Played in six varsity events after transferring from Minnesota in January...69 in the second round of the Morris Williams Invitational was low 18...also competed in the MWC Championships. 2005-06 (FRESHMAN): Went to Minnesota out of high school but was not a part of the men's golf team. HIGH SCHOOL: A 2004 graduate of Apple Valley High School...Four-time all-conference and two-time all-state...posted a 68 to claim the 2004 south regional championship...three-time member of the Minnesota Cup Team...member of the student council and developmental psychology, a group designed to learn and teach middle school students about drugs, alcohol and violence.
