THIS SEASON: Excellent student who is looking to break into the varsity lineup for the first time this season...has played in one tournament with the JV team in two seasons in the Lobo program. 2007-08 (FRESHMAN): Saw action in the Wyoming Cowboy Classic with the JV team...shot a 16-over 226 with a 71 in the second round...honored at the Lobo Academic Banquet for having over a 3.2 grade-point-average. 2006-07 (REDSHIRT): Redshirtted his first year at UNM. HIGH SCHOOL: A 2006 graduate of Valley High School...lettered in golf and basketball...all-district and all-city selection in 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006...won individual district championship in 2006...named first team all-state in 2006...received the 2006 Maloof Award for top student-athlete in Albuquerque. PERSONAL: Born October 23, 1987, in Patterson, New Jersey...son of Madeleine Zannes...posted a 4.15 GPA in high school and was in the top-10 of his graduating class...member of National Honor Society...Favorite athlete is J.J.
