Men's Golf: Lobos Capture 13th Place At Toyota Men's Collegiate

At the Toyota Men's Collegiate, the 16th-ranked UNM men's golf team finished 13th in a 17-team field comprised of eight top-10 collegiate programs.

The Lobos (879, +15) finished four strokes ahead of No. 4 Florida (883, +19) and No. 9 Minnesota (889, +25) which finished in 16th and 17th place, respectively, and just two strokes behind No. 2 Augusta State (877, +13) which finished in 12th overall. No. 12 Oklahoma State won the tournament, carding a three-day team total of 856 (-8) just one stroke above second place finisher UNLV (866, -7).

Individually for the Lobos, junior Ian Medlock (71-72-72215, -1) was the highest finisher. He finished tied for 17th place out of 129 individuals. Senior Michael Letzig (73-70-77220, +4) finished tied for 34th, Jay Choi (75-72-74221, +5) was not far behind in a tie for 39th place, Madalitso Muthiya (74-73-77224, +8) finished in a tie for 57th place and David Schutlz (79-76-76231, +15) was deadlocked in 70th place. Jim Anderson, playing as an individual, carded a 236 (79-70-78) to finish in 76th place.
