Men's Golf: Lobos Tied For 11th At Morris Williams Intercollegiate





Austin, Texas -- After 18 completed holes at the talent-rich Morris Williams Intercollegiate, the No. 15 Lobos are tied for 11th place with 3rd-ranked Texas Christian University.

The Lobos carded a 294 on the day and are 17 strokes behind co-leaders Arizona State University and host University of Texas, who are both at 277 after 18 holes.

Senior Michael Letzig shot a red-hot 69 (-3) Monday to pace the Lobos. He is currently tied for 11th place, four strokes behind individual leader J.J. Wall of Texas. Jay Choi fired a 1-over par 73 to finish tied for 33rd place while Ian Medlock finished just two strokes back (75, +3) but is tied for 54th place.

Following are sophomore Madalitso Muthiya, who is tied for 69th place (77, +5) and Jeff Briggs who holds 88th place solely (82, +10).
