Men's Golf: Lobos Finish Second at Sooner Invite





Frisco, Texas - The University of New Mexico men's golf team followed up its Tucker Intercollegiate title by finishing in a tie for second place with host Oklahoma, shooting 19-under par at the Sooner Invitational in Frisco, Texas. Texas Christian won the tournament with a 25-under par score.

Individually, UNM senior Michael Letzig continues his torrid shooting, carding a final round 69 to tie for second place individual honors with a 10-under par, just one shot back of the individual leader, Oklahoma's John Kendall, who shot -11. This is the second top-5 finish for Letzig this season, as he won the Tucker Intercollegiate title last weekend. Letzig has shot all six rounds he has played under par, and five of six rounds have been under 70.
