20 Questions With Stephen Brown

by Matt Cherrin - GoLobos.com Men's Soccer Writer Stephen Brown is an impact player who is versatile anywhere on the field for the 2008 University of New Mexico men's soccer team. He plays in the back, middle or up front, but no matter where he is, his presence is felt every time he steps on the field. He already has one game-winner against San Diego in overtime in this early season. Brown was born on March 15, 1988, and is the son of Larry and Kathy Brown. He played high-school soccer in Arlington, Texas, and was district player of the year in 2005. He also guided his club team, the Dallas Texans, to three straight U.S.Y.S.A. National Championships. Brown is looking to go into either business or education for his major. He one day hopes to play professional soccer and have a family. Steven Brown and the Lobos go up against the No. 2 ranked Akron Zips on Friday, September 12, at the UNM Soccer Complex. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m. (M.D.T). The Lobos are looking to bounce back from a heart-breaking double overtime loss against Louisville last Sunday.
