#9 NEW MEXICO AT A GLANCE: The Lobos bounced back after the Air Force loss to beat Denver 1-0 in double overtime two days later. Last weekend's matches saw the Lobos score one goal or less in back-to-back games for the first time this season. At 9-2-0 (2-1-0), New Mexico still controls their division and has the best overall record in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation.

AIR FORCE AT A GLANCE: The Falcons were flying high after beating New Mexico at the UNM Soccer Complex. However, they would be grounded immediately after losing at Houston Baptist two days later. The loss meant Air Force now shares the division lead with UNM.

COACH FISHBEIN: Jeremy Fishbein is in his eleventh season as head coach at New Mexico.  The program is 146-45-25 on his watch and has qualified for the NCAA Tournament eight out of his ten seasons in Albuquerque. Under Fishbein, the Lobos have a record of 70-15-9 (.819) in MPSF play. Fishbein has never lost to Air Force twice in one season.

LOBOS TO WATCH: The Lobos have a trio of players who are among the nation's leaders in various statistical categories. Victor Rodriguez has a goals against average of .651, which ranks in the top 20 in the NCAA. Devon Sandoval, with eight goals, ranks twelfth in the nation in scoring. Finally, Blake Smith currently is tied for fifth in the country in assists with seven.

ALL-TIME VS. AIR FORCE: Friday evening's match will be the 36th all-time meeting between the Lobos and the Falcons. Air Force holds the series lead with a record of 19-15-1. During the Fishbein era, New Mexico has a record of 14-4-1 versus Air Force.

DOWN THE ROAD: The Lobos will stay in the state of Colorado for the rest of the weekend. They will travel to Denver University for a Sunday afternoon match against the Pioneers at 1 p.m. (MT) at CIBER Field.
