Off the PitchAn all-access video blog offering an inside look at the Lobo men's soccer program.==================================== Nov. 22, 2011 "Off the Pitch"... with Carson Baldinger The Lobos advanced to the "Sweet 16" on Sunday night for the 3rd time in program history by defeating Duke University 2-1 in overtime. The Lobos will now travel to South Florida to take on USF. Kickoff is set for 6pm ET Sunday, November 27th.
==================================== Nov. 1, 2011 "Off the Pitch"... with Mike Green The Lobos wrapped up another undefeated weekend defeating Sacramento State 2-0 Friday night and San Jose State 1-0 Sunday afternoon. Senior Michael Green tallied his first goal of the season Friday night and recorded the game winning assist Sunday vs San Jose. The Lobos are now 15-0-2 on the year and will host UNLV this Saturday night at the UNM Soccer Complex at 7pm. ==================================== Oct. 26, 2011 "Off the Pitch"... with Carson Baldinger OTP caught up with redshirt freshman Carson Baldinger to talk about the games this past weekend against Seattle and Bakersfield. Baldinger scored the game winner in each of the contests and was awarded with Top Drawer Soccer's National Team of the Week honors. ==================================== Oct. 15, 2011 "Off the Pitch"... with Nick Miele Lobos exploded for 5 2nd half goals en route to a 6-0 victory Friday night vs the University of Denver at the UNM Soccer Complex. Freshman Nick Miele made his 2nd appearance of the year for the Lobos playing all 45 minutes of the 2nd half.
==================================== Oct. 13, 2011 "Off the Pitch"... with Mattie Gibbons The Lobos continued with their winning ways defeating Denver 3-2 and Air Force 2-1 this past weekend. Freshman Mattie Gibbons scored his first career goal as a Lobo which also proved to be the game winner Friday night vs Denver. ==================================== September 25, 2011 "Off the Pitch"... Walk to Defeat ALS The Lobo Men's Soccer team participated in the "2011 Walk to Defeat ALS" event to support former Lobo soccer player Pat Grange. This event has raised over $90K so far for ALS research. ==================================== September 26, 2011 -- "Off the Pitch"... with Victor Rodriguez The Lobos shutout Loyola Marymount 2-0 last Friday night with goals from Gio Rollie and Devon Sandoval. Victor Rodriguez was credited with the shutout as the Lobos finished up the non-conference portion of their schedule undefeated with a record of 6-0-2. The Lobos will face conference rival UNLV on the road this Saturday. ==================================== September 22, 2011 "Off the Pitch"... with Levi Rossi
Levi Rossi started both games for the Lobos this past weekend at the University of Akron Invitational. Levi was a big contributor in the Lobos 1-1 draw vs Akron and had 2 assists in the Lobos 2-1 win over Syracuse. ==================================== September 12, 2011 "Off the Pitch"... with Kyle Venter
"Off the Pitch" spoke with Kyle Venter about his game tying goal this past Sunday and also the team's offense surge this season. The Lobos have scored 12 goals this season and only given up 2. The team will travel to Akron, OH this week for a matchup against the 2010 National Champion. The game will be televised as the the Fox Soccer college game of the week. Kickoff is set for Friday 9/16 at 7PM ET.

The Lobos are coming off a 5-1 win vs Columbia. 5 different players scored in the contest. Kickoff is Sunday at 1pm at the UNM Soccer Complex. ==================================== September 9, 2011 "Off the Pitch"... Beach Bound: The Life of a Lobo Although the Lobo Men's Soccer team is now preparing and looking forward to the match against Columbia Friday night at 7PM at the UNM Soccer Complex, "OTP" thought it would still be appropriate to reflect back on the past weekend as the team traveled west to California. The Lobos tied Cal Poly 0-0 and defeated Santa Clara 2-0. Enjoy the show. ==================================== September 2, 2011 "Off the Pitch"... With Mattie Gibbons OTP spoke with Mattie Gibbons, the Lobos new defensive acquisition on the campus of Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo. With Gio Rollie "OTP" spoke with Gio Rollie after the Lobos 2-0 win on Friday night at the UNM Soccer Complex. GIo scored his 1st career goal which also stood as the game winner.
