01/19/2013 Stevens: Lobos Men's Tennis -- 2013 Season PreviewIf New Mexico can find a potent doubles attack, the 2013 team might be better than 2012 Prior to UNM Eriksson is a 2009 graduate from Montgomery High School in Santa Rosa, Calif. He was awarded MVP of the All Empire League. He finished his senior season 20-1 in singles. He previously attended Eastern Washington University and St. Louis University. In the Atlantic 10 conference, he was named rookie of the week. He finished fourth all-time in most doubles wins in a single season at Eastern Washington University. He was also named to the Big Sky conference All-Academic team. Personal He is the son of Barbara and Don Eriksson and has one sister, Laura. He enjoys fishing, hiking and camping. His father played tennis at San Francisco State. He plans to major in Business Administration. Head Coach Alan Dils on Eriksson: "I'm excited to have Chris on the team. He is a great guy. He has been to a couple of other colleges and now we have him. He has a redshirt this year so we are going to work on his fitness and getting him up to speed at our university. If he works hard this year, I think he has a good chance of contributing his senior year." |
