If New Mexico can find a potent doubles attack, the 2013 team might be better than 2012
Freshmen Andrew Van der Vyver and Rodolfo Jauregui arrive just in time for the 2013 spring season
Prior to UNM
Jauregui is a 2012 graduate from Instituto Tecnologico in Cordoba, Veracruz Mexico. During his high school career, he received an ATP point in singles and was ranked as high as 1498 in the world.
He is the son of Rodolfo Jauregui and Maria Teresa Sainz. His favorite food is pizza and he enjoys playing tennis and listening to music. He has two younger siblings, Eduardo and Mariana. He plans on majoring in film and digital media.
Head Coach Alan Dils on Jauregui:
"Rodolfo is a spark plug. He is not one of our taller players but has great footwork. He already has an ATP point in singles. He brings a lot of high level experience. He is a huge asset to our tennis team already. This guy is going to make a lot of noise in the nation and in our conference over the next four years in both singles and doubles."
