If New Mexico can find a potent doubles attack, the 2013 team might be better than 2012

Prior to UNM
Berkabile is a 2012 graduate from Odyssey Charter High School in Las Vegas, Nev. He lettered all four years and graduate with a 3.9 GPA. He was awarded the athlete academic award and was named athlete of the month. His high school won the team championship his last three years. He won the state doubles championship his junior and senior year.
He is the son of Shannon Love and Steven Berkabile and has four siblings. He enjoys bowling and snowboarding. His brother Dillon plays tennis for Citadel University. He plans to major in Business.

"I'm very excited about Tanner. He is another Mitch McDaniels in terms of passion for the game. He is a sponge right now learning from the other guys. He is putting things into play for his game. He works really hard and brings an exceptional eagerness to the court each and every day. He is a very fun guy to be around and he is going to be a joy to coach in the upcoming years."
