Lobo Women's Basketball Ranked in Top 10 Nationally for GPA by WBCAThe New Mexico women's basketball team ranked 10th nationally in the Academic Top 25 poll released by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) today. The Lobos finished the year with a 3.414 grade point average (GPA) and crack the Top 10 for the first time since the 2005-06 season. New Mexico was the only Mountain West Conference school ranked in the Top 25. The Lobos have ranked in the WBCA's Academic Top 25 four of the last five years.7/9/2009

New Mexico Set To Participate In 2009 Preseason WNITThe New Mexico women's basketball team has been one of 16 teams selected to participate in the 2009 Preseason Women's National Invitation Tournament. The three-game guaranteed tournament kickoffs on Nov. 13 with the championship game held on Sunday, Nov. 22. The Lobos will open the event at home against Northern Colorado at 7 p.m. MT on Friday, Nov. 13. New Mexico is the only Mountain West Conference school participating in the event.6/23/2009
