Over the past few weeks, we have been challenged with quite a few tough teams. The tournament at Arizona State was a challenge for the entire team. Even though we came out of the tournament 1 and 2, it was a good learning experience. Everyone got to compete against harder teams that play a little more aggressive than we do (which is something we're working on). Texas was a HUGE win for our team. It gave a lift from two losses in a row and it also boosted our confidence. One thing we need to work on is not letting a team come back into the game when we have them by a good margin at halftime. It got a little scary!
So far, my sophomore year is going pretty well. School isn't too bad this semester, but next semester will more than likely be a lot harder because of all the traveling we do. That's to be expected I guess. For Thanksgiving, I'll be staying in Albuquerque with my mom and having dinner with her and my step dad. My oldest sister is also coming down to visit for Thanksgiving and she's bringing my little nephew so that should be fun.
This weekend we will be playing two more games against good teams. For these games, we'll need to run our offense and not get impatient. Again, we need to do the little things like blocking out, limiting our turnovers, and hitting the easy shots. Our support for Texas was AWESOME and I hope to see a lot more red and cherry in the stands once again.
