Lobos Finish 18th at NCAA West Regional

The UNM women's golf team concluded its 2011-12 season today by finishing in 18th place at the NCAA West Regional in Erie, Colo. The Lobos ended at 913. Sophomore Sammi Stevens was the top Lobo, finishing in a tie for 45th.

The UNM women's golf team is in 18th place after two rounds of the NCAA West Regional being played in Erie, Colo. The Lobos have a 36-hole total of 610. Sammi Stevens is tied for 30th at 149.

The UNM women's golf team begins play in the NCAA West Regional Thursday in Erie, Colo. Competition runs through Saturday at the Colorado National Golf Course. The top eight teams in a 24-team field advance to the NCAA Championships later this month.

The UNM men's and women's golf programs will conduct two Lobo Junior camps in June at the UNM Championship Golf Course. The sessions are June 4-7 and June 11-14 and open to boys and girls ages 7 to 18.

UNM has received an at-large invitation to participate in the 2012 NCAA Women's Golf Championships. UNM is in the NCAA West Regional May 8-10 at Colorado National in Erie, Colo.

UNM lost ground today at the Mountain West Women's Golf Championships in Litchfield Park, Ariz. The Lobos shot a 19-over 307 in the second round and is tied with UNLV for fourth place in the seven-team field at 617 (310-307).

De Roey Tied for Lead at MW Women's Golf Championships

If the Jill Trujillo Lobos win the Mountain title this weekend, it brings with it an automatic NCAA bid. However, a strong showing also could produce an at-large NCAA invite for the UNM women.

Lobos tie for 14th at ASU Invitational

In Tempe, Ariz., the UNM women's golf team finished in a tie for 14th place at the PING/ASU Invitational. On a day when scores soared due to windy conditions, the Lobos finished with a 54-hole total of 906. Sophomore Manon De Roey led the Lobos at 222, tying for 26th.
