Sophomore who seems to be coming into her own based on play over the summer...short game really improved and she has also become more acclimated to college life...name is pronounced mah-NO DAH-rue...hometown is pronounced SHIL-duh...came to UNM in the fall of 2010 as the No. 1 rated junior in Belgium...has been a member of the Belgian National team since 2008...won the Trophee Anette De Vooght in 2009, signifying the best Belgian player in the world under 18...played in a large number of tournaments around the globe...National Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar for Division I and Mountain West Conference Scholar-Athlete Award winner in 2011...has a 3.51 cumulative GPA.

SUMMER 2011: Won the Concentra Securitas Omnium tournament in July at the Limburg Golf and Country Club (par 72, 5,819 yards) in Belgium...in a field comprised of Belgian professional and amateur players, De Roey claimed the top spot in what is considered to be the most prestigious tournament in Belgium...she shot a course record and personal best 66 (33-33) in the second round on her way to a 72-hole total of 3-under 285 (74-66-74-71)...won the tournament by six strokes, beating current professionals Victoria Tomko and Benedicte Toumpsin.

FRESHMAN (2010-11): A 77.90 scoring average playing in all 31 rounds...tied for 36th nationally in sand saves at 42.3% and was 44th in par 3 Greens in Regulation (68.5%)...slow start with a 78.78 average her first 9 rounds, but 1.24 strokes better (77.54) over the final 22...UNM's top finisher at the Las Vegas Showdown, tying for 32nd at 7-over 223...fired a season-best 71 (1-over) twice: the 2nd round in Las Vegas (Boulder Creek GC) and in the 1st round of the Arizona Invitational (Vistoso GC) in Tucson.

BEFORE UNM: Attended SportHumanitora in Hasselt, Belgium...won the Belgian Young Talent trophy in 2007, the Flanders Trophy in 2008 and the Federal Tour Damme in 2009.

PERSONAL: Born Dec. 12, 1991, in Antwerp, Belgium...daughter of Walter De Roey and Linda Meeuseh...hobbies include field hockey, snow skiing and scuba diving...older brother, Yannick, played field hockey in the first division in Belgium.
